The Upside

In light of all the recent NT losses, there's a silver lining. A proven and seasoned investigative reporter is coming to town -- Tom Francis, an NT veteran who spent a while at The Stranger in Seattle before realizing that he needed to be in a real place, aka one where the unfettered desire for plastic goods and status symbols creates a wellspring of corruption, aka Fort Lauderdale. Francis is stepping into the gumshoes of Trevor Aaronson, who recently left NT for our sister paper in Miami.

As much as it pains me, I'll now direct you to The Stranger, which broke the news, goddammit. Here's the link. There's some interesting takes on Florida in the comments section, by the way. I would say all of them are true, excepting the majority -- and expected, considering the sources -- opinion that living in Seattle is better than Florida. No way, man. No way.
