TONIGHT! Luggage-Throwing Competition Could Earn You a Free Flight, or Even 200 Free Flights

You can snag 5,000 miles (about one flight) from Spirit Airlines today at 5 p.m. at Round Up Country Western Club in Davie simply for participating in its luggage-throwing competition, and if you have exceptionally good aim, you can win the grand prize of a million miles (about 200 flights). Then, you'll have no excuse not to visit your dear grandmother in Omaha or your childhood friend in Kansas City.

Participants will be throwing a carry-on-sized duffel bag full of packing peanuts into a square target on the ground. Every contestant who successfully lands the bag in the square will move on to the final round of competition at 7 p.m.

I know, I know, this is last-minute notice... no time to even practice! But it might be worth rushing out of work for a shot at the grand prize.

Better yet, Wednesday is ladies' night at Round Up. Women drink free from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m., but ladies, don't get so shellacked that the guys have an upper hand at the luggage toss. Keep it together until the finals are over, then imbibe to celebrate your freshly minted travel plans!
