The election is exactly one month away, which means it's time to crank things up to 11 to get people informed and involved.

With that firmly the quest, United for Care has been hitting the road throughout Florida, holding rallies and garnering support for Amendment 2.

And the rally will be making its way to Broward and Palm Beach on Wednesday.

There will be four events -- student rallies, speeches, forums, and town-hall discussions -- spread throughout the day Wednesday.

"The rallies will have speeches and photo ops," Brian Franklin, who strategizes for Untied for Care, tells New Times. "The town hall is more traditional."

In addition to being able to meet and chat with Campaign Manager Ben Pollara, folks will also be able to meet patients with debilitating conditions that already do, or are hoping to, benefit from medical marijuana, as well as physicians and other community leaders supporting the amendment.

The purpose behind the rallies is to motivate people already in favor of Amendment 2 and to get information to those who want to know more about the amendment and what United for Care stands for.

"Amendment 2 would legalize the medical use of marijuana for qualifying patients in the State of Florida," United for Care says via a news release announcing the rallies. "The public debate over this amendment is one of the most fascinating stories in the state's political landscape this year. These rallies and town halls will be well attended and will feature multiple, high profile speakers in support of this important measure."
