Gov. Rick Scott is struggling. And the struggle is real. He's not very popular, and he's not well-liked.
Things are so bleak that the guy who quit being governor of Florida so he can run for the Senate, and lost, and then changed parties twice, is beating him with the proverbial sock full of pennies in the polls.
And now, the vitriol Floridians feel has been caught on tape. On Tuesday, Scott showed up to a rally in Orlando where soccer fans were celebrating the city's brand new MLS team, the Orlando Lions.
As you can see from the video, things did not go swell for the governor.
Scott his down in the polls.
In the recent Quinnipiac University poll released on Thursday, Scott trails Charlie Crist by 7.
And a RealClearPolitics rundown of several polls shows Gov. McCreepyPants down in every major polling.
In some cases, such as this University of North Florida Poll, Scott is down by double-digits to Crist.
As you can see in the video below, shot and uploaded by YouTube user Jeffrey Billman, Scott tried to make some comments at the rally, but was completely drowned out by the booing from the crowd.
Apparently all Scott wanted to do was congratulate Orlando for landing a professional soccer franchise.
But the people weren't having it.
Yep. When you're down in ever major poll and people generally dislike you and all you do and stand for, the obvious thing for a struggling politician to do is show up to a rally where people are drunk and talking about sports.
Another winning idea by our governor!
