Forget the Mother's Day mad dash for a cheesy card and candy this weekend and score something you won't find on the shelves of a convenience store at Saturday's Art Rock 2014. About 60 vendors will be onsite at West Palm's Armory Art Center from noon to 6 p.m. selling all things precious and unique. Now in its fifth year, Art Rockers are anticipating the best turnout yet. You'll find everything from functional art -- like Migdalia's one-of-a-kind handbags and headbands made from repurposed clothing -- to ceramics from artists like Alyssa Ligmont and Calan Ree. Or instead of buying flowers that will croak in a few days, shop for a terrarium crafted from vintage apothecary jars and filled with succulents, air plants, and love by Robyn Moore of It's a Small World. Art Rock is offering an early-bird incentive, with swag bags for the first 100 attendees. In case Mom wants to shop, there will be free craft activities for the kiddies. Food trucks PS561 Hot Dogs and PAC Pastries will serve lunch and dessert, and Harold's Coffee will deliver the caffeine to power you through an afternoon of art overload. Art Rock 2014 will take place at the Armory Art Center (1700 Parker Ave., West Palm Beach). Admission costs $5, free for kids 12 and under so long as a parent is close by. Parking is free.
