Fans of Renaissance festivals and Jethro Tull take note: Your two whimsical, chimerical worlds collide with Psychedelic Mist this Saturday night at Kevro's Art Bar in Delray Beach. Psychedelic Mist is not some sort of fragrance laced with psychotropic agents, however; it is the moniker of a band that shells out mind-expanding melodies. Based out of Palm Beach Gardens, Psychedelic Mist performs artful acoustic rock that prominently features a 36-string harp. The strikingly elegant string instrument adds a level of fairy tale and quaintness to the band's brand of folky, delicate prog-rock. Beginning at 10:30 p.m., the outfit will perform two sets at the ever-quirky hot spot Kevro's Art Bar in downtown Delray Beach. Attendees will want to get there early; missing out on Psychedelic Mist's enchanting rendition of Mexican standard "Besame Mucho" would be a shame. Joining Psychedelic Mist onstage is Jeb Murphy, the night's opener, described as an acoustic guitar player with "raw organic energy." The best news of all: This bewitching night of music at Kevro's is absolutely free.
The whimsy begins at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Kevro's Art Bar, located at 166 SE Second Ave. in Delray Beach. Call 561-278-9675, or visit kevroart.com.
