This weekend, party like it’s 1985 at Arcade Game Sales’ Retro Arcade Night. Pinball wizards and Pac-Man aficionados alike are invited to attend this night of serious retro gaming, where attendees can step back in time and enjoy an evening’s worth of pinball machines and classic titles such as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Tron on vintage standalone arcade units. This month’s edition of Retro Arcade Night will be a particularly auspicious affair as event host Steven Kleisath will be celebrating his new number-one ranking in the classic arcade version of Mario Brothers (having shattered the old points record on January 5 with a score of 5,424,920). In addition, another gaming celebrity, Billy Mitchell, known for his role in gaming documentary King of Kong, will also be in attendance. And as an added bonus, everyone who signs Retro Arcade Night’s mailing list at the door will receive a free bottle of Billy Mitchell’s tangy hot sauce. All the retro-gaming fun happens from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday at Arcade Game Sales, located at 279 E. Oakland Park Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale. A flat charge of $12 for adults and $6 for kids 10 and under includes unlimited play of all titles all night long. Visit arcadegamesales.com, or call 954-270-6949.
