This Friday night, a deluge of Santa Claus- attired revelers invades Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach as part of the second-annual Delray Beach SantaCon. “Ho, ho, hos” will be heard far and wide in downtown as these red-suited partygoers partake in a Yuletide bar crawl spanning four Delray hot spots. The boozy Saint Nick fun starts at the Italian restaurant and megalounge Il Bacio, where registration takes place and “passports” will be handed out. This march of partying Santa Clauses then has scheduled stops at the festive Greek Taverna Opa, nascent small-plate supper club Honey, and upscale barbecue joint Smoke, before making the trek back to Il Bacio — where a costume contest, with cash prizes for first-, second-, and third-place costumes will unfold. Passports entitle each participant to a complimentary cocktail at each destination. Organizers are encouraging attendees to bring one unwrapped toy, to be given to a charity. You will dressing up as Santa Clause, after all —don’t want to show up empty-handed. Registration for this Santa Claus-clad shindig begins at 7:30 p.m. at Il Bacio, located at 29 SE Second Ave. in Delray Beach. This is a 21-and-over event. Passports cost $20.
