Roy's Sports Bar

Locals only is the theme of the night over at Roy's Sports Bar in Margate. As you drive down Sample Road, this nondescript bar is easy to miss. However, the customers inside are unforgettable. Although the word sports is in the bar's title, the patrons are more interested in after-hours drinks and karaoke than catching up with the NBA highlights. A number of pool tables are packed into the back of the tiny bar, so getting to know the other tipsy clientele is not a difficult thing to do. The wooden bar extends its way throughout most of venue, and the various attentive bartenders never leave a glass dry. Barely dressed shot girls weave their way through the packed late-night crowd serving up neon-colored concoctions, and the occasional flower-peddling woman hustles the guys. Open until 4 a.m., Roy's is the quintessential spot for winding down the night and getting in some serious people-watching.
