The Orange Door

Far too spacious and prettily lit to be a dive and down-home enough to be cozy, the Orange Door is half private party spot, half go-to blues venue. Part of a shopping plaza off Northlake Boulevard in Lake Park, the bar features a black-box-style theater setup and plenty of seating - complete with tables and flower centerpieces. Each weekend, it becomes a heavy-duty house of blues - soul and jazz too - playing host to local, national, and international acts like J.P. Soars and the Red Hots, Tommy Castro, and Eric Culberson. Thanks to its status as a local blues mecca, it has street cred among the locals, allowing it to be suitable for all kinds of events - like the two-day Lake Worth/Miami music festival Zitfest. The rest of the week, the Orange Door is yours for the taking - the owners are happy to book your private party or show in the space, still buzzing with the bluesy, twangy energy left over from the sizable crowds it draws each weekend.
