Tijuana Taxi Co.

For whatever reason, the new breed of Mexican chain restaurant likes lots of hokey, gaudy graphics involving mustached caricatures, lots of margarita-pushing, chili-n-cactuses everywhere, and a late last call on weekends -- this Coral Springs spot doesn't differ. Diversity permeates the Tijuana Taxi menu: You can get ribs here, blackened mahi-mahi or salmon, and more items (like the egg-battered chicken madeira) that aren't Mexican at all. Five burgers, none the least bit Mexican, sit astride "authentic taco platters" that actually do come with essential accouterments like onion, radish, cilantro, and lime. Ignore the silly art and dig in.
