Ye Olde Falcon Pub

Sometimes, British-themed pubs exist primarily for drinking and listening to live music, not so much for the dining experience. Olde Falcon isn't one of those, even though their 50-odd strong draft beer list is the main draw. On one hand, the Falcon Pub is stereotypical: dark-wood-paneled interior, sports on the TVs. The music is cranked up loud, and the clientele are usually young folks watching a game and knocking back some good brew. But the kitchen is way above average, with a smattering of American favorites (pot roast, etc.) nestled between the standard bangers and mash and shepherd's pie. On your first visit, make sure to get the fish and chips - it's a standout. Some of the items you have to know about and ask for (like duck tenders with delicious orange sauce). Hit those puppies with a pint of Dead Guy Ale or Fuller's ESB (or a peach lambic if you're feeling extra-fruity) and feed your epicurean frenzy.
