Air

​When Air's Moon Safari came out in 1998, I was 15 years old and still in my teenage ska/punk phase. But here was an album with lush electronic soundscapes and minimal beats that really spoke to me. Air is responsible for introducing me to electronic music and the entire Astralwerks catalog of music, including acts like the Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx, Kraftwerk and more. Where would my musical taste be if I hadn't discovered that album I'm not entirely sure.

So when I heard the news that the French duo would be making its first ever Miami appearance next year on March 13, I was excited to say the least. I had already given up that I would ever have a chance to see them in my lifetime. And if you know what's best, you'll definitely check 'em out too.

While Air has enough material to go on tour non-stop, they've just released their sixth studio album in October, Love 2. The first single off the album, "Sing Sang Sung," doesn't tread far from previous works -- but I wouldn't have it any other way. Analog beats and psychedelic breaks, it almost sounds like electronic music unplugged.
