Awesome New Republic was celebrating its most extensive national tour to date -- but that's now most definitively in the past tense. The story goes that B. Rob, half of the band's awesomeness, was on some vaguely western body of water, and bet that he could jump from one dock to another nearby. He didn't make it. Ah, boys. The multi-instrumentalist broke his foot, and the injury has forced ANR to cancel all of its remaining shows, which were to take the band as far west as Utah, back through the south and then home.

And yes, that's really his X-ray, above. Get well soon!

In better ANR news, though, Rational Geographic Volume II, the follow-up to, well, Volume I, is due out July 21 on Honor Roll Music. Stay tuned for more details.
