The family of Jason Budjinski, known by his stage name Billy Boloby and nom de plume Fats Pompano (still so awesome and clever — thanks for making me laugh even in death, Jason!), has announced the details for his celebration of life.

The event will be held Saturday, June 27, at 2 p.m. in the Center Court of the original Wellington Mall*, located at 12794 W. Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington (corner of Forest Hill Boulevard and Wellington Trace) — NOT the Mall at Wellington Green!

Jason suffered from a sucky disease called primary sclerosing cholangitis, which slowly damages the bile ducts. They become inflamed and blocked, so bile then accumulates in the liver, where it gradually ruins cells and causes cirrhosis and scar tissue. The disease develops slowly, and most sufferers eventually need liver transplants. No one knows what causes it, and there is no cure.

In lieu of flowers, the Budjinski family requests donations in Jason’s name to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure.

Donations can be sent via mail to 5237 S. Kenton Way, Englewood, Colorado 80111 or made online.
