If you're not already excited about the Bon Jovi show on April 18 at BankAtlantic Center, there's something wrong with the musical part of your brain. Even if you discount the fact the band has sold over 120 million records, you'll never be able to deny the brilliance of Slippery When Wet. But if for some reason you don't recognize hard rock royalty when you hear it, maybe this will get you to the altar of Bon Jovi. "Indie" rockers Dashboard Confessional have signed on to open up some of Bon Jovi's shows, including the one at BankAtlantic. So come for the silly, cutesy indie-mo, stay for a lesson in rock.

Do you remember how big Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was ten years ago? Yeah "Go Daddy-O" was so popular they actually played the '99 Super Bowl halftime show right here in Miami. For about 15 minutes, swing was totally back in the mainstream. Now it's been pushed back to the underground, but BBVD keeps on keeping on. They're currently touring in support of their tribute to the master of skat singing Cab Calloway "How Big Can You Get". They'll be playing the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on April 16. Tickets will be available soon through Ticketmaster.
