There is a certain type of celebrity the world wants, yearns for, even.
It's the type of person who does everything wrong.
This person starts fights with other celebrities, burns bridges, uses copious levels of narcotic drugs, possesses a laughable sort of vanity, and lives a public life filled with contradiction. Some make their madness into a successful business -- like Charlie Sheen or any number of European royals throughout history. For others, such nonsense repeatedly results in all-out cries of oh-how-the-mighty-have-fallen: Scott Stapp, the Creed (or sometimes ex-Creed) baritone turned solo artist is just such a man.
In the past decade or so, the now-Boca-based singer has gone from working on an RIAA diamond-certified album to allegedly heading a crystal-meth-fueled conspiracy theory rager across America.
There have been some pretty great moments in between as well. In case you missed them, they were, oh, you know, normal stuff like: making and releasing a sex tape with American Badass Kid Rock, starting a brawl with a band who inspired him on Thanksgiving, trying to commit suicide by throwing himself out of a hotel window in Miami Beach, marrying a beauty-pageant queen, throwing a glass Orangina bottle at said pageant queen's head, and participating in one of the most notorious AMAs in Reddit history.
The most recent of Stapp's shenanigans are by far the best. One recently came to public light thanks to Gossip Extra and the Palm Beach County family court emergency filings of his soon-to-be-ex-wife Jaclyn Stapp (née Nesheiwat) -- the aforementioned beauty queen from the Orangina scene. She requested full custody of their children and filed a Marchman Act petition to get him treatment for mental illness and drug abuse. For supporting evidence, Nesheiwat and her legal council alleged that Stapp has been sending her some pretty batty text messages. Of course, they provided examples for all of us to enjoy. Here are just a few Gossip Extra shared:
"Florida is not safe. Biological weapons on the way. U have to leave with kids and meet me in Atlanta."
"I'm coming to get you Satan and children. No mercy. You know how this ends. God created you and now God is ending you."
"I wouldn't doubt it if the CIA is behind Alcoholics Anonymous."
The judge in the case denied the motion even after Stapp's reported November 10 call to Delray's American Heritage School warning of an impending terrorist attack.
For those of you South Floridians who have been hoping beyond hope that a supertasty celebrity meltdown would come to your neck of the woods, you're in luck. This one just did.
Update: TMZ just released a video saying he's homeless and living in a Holiday Inn, "by the grace of God."
