But when we asked about investing in Curren$y, the New Orleans rapper whose popularity's shown steady growth since 2009's This Ain't No Mixtape mixtape, nearly every money manager familiar with the MC said go for it. Especially after hearing what Curren$y's homie frequent collaborator Wiz Khalifa said in Forbes (via XXL): "Oh yeah, man, I'm going to make $100 million this year. No doubt, $100 million. The new mixtape [will] get everybody ready and get their wallets open."

It's simple economics, folks. If Curren$y follows Khalifa's lead and continues to give people a taste of what they want for free, like a mixtape, follows it up with a $12.99 studio record like The Stoned Immaculate, his latest, and collects rest of the money on promotional club tours, he too will have a $100 million year.
