No offense to our sister paper, but hey Orange County, Calif.: Sucks to your assmar! When rock music legends want to get married to costume designers 10 years their junior that they met on tour, they naturally gravitate to (where else but) glitzy South Florida.
That's what happened Friday, when Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen, 52, married Helen Simmons at the Palm Beach Ritz-Carlton. The couple met during Def Leppard's 2008 Sparkle Lounge Tour, and live in California's OC.
In attendance at the swank beach wedding?
Def Leppard bandmates Rick Savage and Vivian Campbell. Though there have
been no reports of total-rocking-out at the wedding, the vows were
pretty damn touching. An excerpt from Collen's:
We'veThe Ritz offers two wedding packages, been looking for each other our entire lifetime. To say we're ecstatic
this day has finally come is putting it mildly. It could only be us for
each other.
and although sources would not confirm which Collen opted for, we're
guessing it was the more expensive Gold package: $3500 for everything
from wedding night rose petal turndown service to a full day in the
"Self-Centered Garden" (no joke). The full package:

arrangement in bride's room upon arrival
- Rose petal
