If not, then there are plenty of other events designed to remind you of that fact -- "lonely hearts" parties, speed dating, whatever. What if you want to just grab a drink without giving a crap either way? Luckily, there are a few safe havens out in the South Florida nightlife wilds. How about an open mic (or two)?
Check out Turn Town Tuesday at the Speak Easy Lounge in Lake Worth. This is technically a booked open mic, for some quality control -- four featured acoustic music performers are scheduled for the evening, but sign-ups are open starting at 8 p.m. for performance slots before and after. Reggae Unplugged

At the South Shores Tavern, you can catch Lake Worth-birthed band Heidi and the El Cats, a sweet act specializing in acoustic soul and bluesy roots music. There's no cover. Click here.
