Still fiending for some local art after Basel? The Rolando Chang Barrero Fine Art Gallery's got your back, and closer to home. The new art space is currently exhibiting work by Palm Beach abstract painter James Rabidoux as well as window installations by German self-coined "cultural instigator" Uta Brauser.
The cool part of Rabidoux's work? There are hidden words in the obscure designs. The exhibition will be up until January 15 and will also continue to be the affordable price of free.

Catch the debut performance of local band Tex LaChic at Delray's historic concert venue and beer garden, Vintage Tap. The self-described "new, low down and nasty blues band," it sounds like maybe you should catch Tex LaChic asap. Complete with local brews on tap, you'll can start 2015 off with some funky flavors and a new blues sound.

We're talking about the long-running night that celebrates darkness with tunes by DJ LinderSMASH and Kaos. This week guest DJ Deadhead will also spin some classic tunes to get you doing that Gothic two-step.
Get there before the clock strikes 12 to score some drink specials. Not to mention, this will be at Fort Lauderdale's newest club District 15, so see what all the fuss is about.

Spread and experience positive vibes at Richardson Historic Park & Nature Preserve this Sunday. 12 to 12 was created to "celebrate life" and encourage optimism. Hosted by DxEStudios and Product of Myth and sponsored by Atlantic Coast Kayaks and Art Attack, the reoccurring event is a full day long and this time, will take place out in nature.
Music will be provided by DJ 3Voll Alberto Cruceta and the Birthday Boys while Kris McDermott will do some live painting. Don't forget to experience paddleboard yoga taught by Kimberly Unik, and top it off with free massages by Dr. Skly Lui Vendors include Recycled Jude, Doubledeesigns, La Vie en Rose, and others.

Thanks to the chilly tradition of the Polar Bear Plunge, you can literally dive headfirst into the New Year.
Taking place for the very first time in Fort Lauderdale Beach, attendees are invited to dive into the ocean, minus the chilliness, to celebrate 2015.
"We hope to continue this tradition in subsequent years to come as we have had a tremendous response thus far for registrations," says Steven Dapuzzo of Society 8 Hospitality Group. The actual plunge is free, but if you want to join for brunch after, it's $29.50 of deliciousness.
