Friday, March 16

*There's lots of punk rock, rockabilly, and vaguely Irish-inflected rock tonight at the Speakeasy Lounge in Lake Worth. The main out-of-towners starring tonight are Jason and the Punknecks, a rough-and-ready punkabilly act from Tennessee, and Continental, a group featuring members of Dropkick Murphys. Locals rounding out the bill include Unit 6 and Liberty Call. Admission is $5. Click here. (If you can't catch the Punknecks tonight, you can also head out to the Poorhouse in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday.)

Saturday, March 17

*It's St. Patty's Day, which means plenty of options to get your cheap drink on. Here's one that's musiccentric. The Field Irish Pub & Eatery in Dania Beach features two stages of real-deal Irish music

(no punk fusions here), with bars inside and out and fun stuff like

Irish folk dancers. Your socially acceptable day drinking is welcome

starting at 11 a.m., and the party goes till late, for a cover of $10 and drink specials, naturally. Those under 16 enter free; obviously in their case those drink specials do not apply. Click here.

*Here's yet another spot to get your drink on before noon -- hey, it's a holiday, right? The Dive Bar

in Fort Lauderdale Beach starts its party early, with free green Jell-O

shots for everyone as well as the usual specials on green beer and

such. Rock band Push takes the stage at 9 p.m., and admission is free -- unlike the party listed above this one, you must be 21 to enter. Click here.

*Completely unrelated to anything greencentric, the Bubble mounts another combo art and music show tonight, this one centered around the theme of pain. Sounds fun! Local acts Pocket of Lollipops, Loxahatchee Sinners Union, Dooms de Pop, and Xela Zaid will be on hand to musically soothe any suffering. The event starts at 7 p.m. and admission is $10, but that includes all-you-can-drink beer. Click here.

Sunday, March 18

*Kevro's Art Bar in Delray Beach hosts its monthly hippie happening, Open Grass Psychedelic Sundays.

Not only is this an open musical jam, but you're pretty much welcome to

bring any tool of creative expression you desire -- art supplies, hoops

for dancing, drums, whatever. The get-down starts at 4 p.m. and is free, but you have to be 21 to play. Click here.
