*Miami-based live hip-hop act Mayday! also plays a rare-ish show north of the Miami-Dade County line tonight, also before soon leaving on super-extensive tour. The group hits up the Speakeasy Lounge tonight supported by Audioplayground and Dub Recon. It's all part of an 18-and-up party called Bass Face, and admission is $10. Click here.



*Green Room continues with its recently birthed Friday-night party,

Black Fridays, which, as the name implies, is for those of a slightly

goth/underground alternative/whatever bent. Resident DJS LinderSMASH and

Kaos spin alongside guests, and admission is free. You can even score a

Band are doing their damnedest to keep traditional blues alive. This

Friday finds the group at Satchmo in Fort Lauderdale, playing a free

spring break madness isn't happening by heading to the underground

party Swarm 7 at Squeegee Science in Fort Lauderdale. The

multidisciplinary event features a pop-up gallery with works by local

artists, as well as performances across multiple genres, from Lavola's

feedback-filled rock and roll to Jabrjaw and Dee Dubbs' underground
