Tonight, Friday, January 15

*Mayday plays its monthly jam at Transit Lounge tonight. Transit Lounge never charges a cover, but the band is generously giving away part of its own pay, and collecting donations. Also, $1 of every drink sold will go to charity as well. Midnight. 305-377-4628; transitlounge.us

*The organiation Miami4Haiti presents its first fundraising event

tonight with a special performance by Julian and Ky-Mani Marley, with

DJ Artime. 7 p.m. A $20 door donation is suggested for entry at

*A concert to benefit Haiti tonight at Churchill's will send 100 percent of the proceeds to the Red Cross. To enter, give $10 or donate blood. Tusk, Ephniko, the Haitian Hillbilly, La Guardia, Chris Video, Cleaveland Jones, and a million others perform. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. 305-757-1807; churchillspub.com

Saturday, January 16

*Local Impact, Brava Bravo, Soula Booking, and JLPR present a benefit at Transit Lounge featuring Locos Por Juana. Door donation is $5, or more, of course.

*Before

Poplife, the Miami Artists for Haiti event at the Electric Pickle will

send 100% of the proceeds to Project Medishare, one of the few

organizations actually flying in and out of Haiti. Locos Por Juana, the

Haitian Hillbilly, Papaloko and Loray Mistik, and Rudy and the Doctors

are among the performers. A $20 door donation is suggested. 8 to 11

Sunday, January 17

*The

cream of the crop of hometown DJs come together to play Sunday School

for the Generous at Electric Pickle. Oscar G, Stryke, and Lazaro

benefit for Haiti in Coconut Grove, with 100 percent of proceeds going

to Yele Haiti. Ria, Zoe d'Hauthuille, Rocker Alix, Space Hippie, Super

Locks, and more artists TBA perform. Admission is $5 or two cans of

food. Concert is at Chicago's Tavern and Steakhouse, 2130 Commodore

Monday, January 19

*Surfer

Blood, John Ralson, and Sweet Bronco play a benefit at Propaganda, 6 S.

J. St., Lake Worth. Entry is $10, and the whole door take plus 10

percent of bar sales go to relief efforts. Ages 21 and up with ID.

Wednesday, January 20

*A benefit for Doctors Without Borders' Haitian relief effort at the Vagabond. Performances by Afrobeta, Black Bobby, the Hongs, the State Of, and many more. Friday, January 22

*A million local bands play at the American Legion, and all door proceeds go to Project Medishare. Door donation is $5 or supplies.
