If it wasn't enough that Ozzy Osbourne is one of the most entertaining nuts in heavy metal, he's got a pretty entertaining new lead guitarist in Gus G. As the Ozzman's Sunday show at BankAtlantic Center steadily approaches, Kory Grow spoke with Gus to discuss his new role as the Prince of Darkness' right hand man.

Although it sounds like many of the manic antics of an Osbourne tour of 30 years ago have been replaced with solid camaraderie, among the interview's many gems is a detailing of a Christmas gift exchange between guitarist and frontman.

Royal Bangs, the latest band to find a sonic connection with producer David Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse), is coming to Respectable Street on Saturday. The occasion marks the approach of the noisy Knoxville trio's third glam-packed fuzz explosion, Flux Outside. More from Chris Parker here.

As for the rest of the week's concerts, we've got: Kim Lenz and the Jaguars at Monterey Club, Todd Wolfe at South Shores Tavern and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek, Astari Nite at Respectable Street, Kill Miss Pretty at Hooligan's, and Johnny Winter at Culture Room.
