To quote Kiss singer Paul Stanley, "I got nothin' to lose but my money and my mind."

Yes, the mighty, inaugural Kiss Kruise embarks from South Florida this weekend, and County Grind will feature every grisly and shocking detail -- because we are attending and reviewing the five-day excursion with photographer Ian Witlen handling all visuals.

Before the Carnival Destiny departs from the Port of Miami on Thursday, however, there's a preparty set up for those already in town -- and anyone over 21 fit to mingle, toast Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed's fresh nuptials, and discuss the merits of the upcoming Kiss-Archie comic book series. This evening, Transit Lounge hosts the warm-up exercises with music from metal-covers extraordinaires the Big Rock Show.

Then, stay locked on County Grind's Kiss Kruise category for the rest of the weekend for numerous postings highlighting the high seas high-jinx. Expect words, photos, and video for:

*Concert reviews featuring all of the acts: Kiss, Skid Row, the Envy, Craig Gass, Brian Collins Band, and the Big Rock Show.

*Interviews with the Kiss Kruise Army.

*Kiss-adorned cabin shots.

*The best Kiss costumes, and the Halloween Night-themed attire.

*A rundown of the speed quarters game (really!) with Skid Row.

*Kiss karaoke's best and worst performers.

This stuff, and a wealth of surprises, will be a part of our editorial plans in the coming days.

Kiss Kruise Preparty. With the Big Rock Show. 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 12, at Transit Lounge, 729 SW First Ave., Miami. No cover. Click here.
