Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival, the four-day event that drew thousands last year, will be holding a second edition. The 2017 dates are March 2 through 5, backers announced Tuesday. Tickets go on sale Wednesday morning, August 17, at 11 a.m. at okeechobeefest.com. Four-day general admission passes go for $229.50, while those for the VIP experience are going for $599.

Though the 2017 musical lineup won't be made public until October, last year's roster was a veritable A-list. Classic rockers were represented by Robert Plant and Hall & Oates. Hip-hop fans were treated to Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, and Joey Bada$$. EDMers danced to Skrillex and Bassnectar. Folksy hippies could sing along to Mumford & Sons and the Avett Brothers, while indie rockers had Portugal. The Man and Ween.

Last year's event, held north of the eponymous lake and west of Port Saint Lucie, enjoyed beautiful weather in an idyllic environment. The festival’s home, Sunshine Grove, provided acres of pristine camping space along with a sandy beach placed on a swampy lake that gave revelers a spring break vibe.

The press release announced, "Continuing a new Florida tradition, Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival is excited to announce that its second annual event will take place March 2 through 5, 2017. The four-day festival will again be held during the perfect time of year to enjoy incredible Florida weather in an ideal setting. The festival's home, Sunshine Grove, is widely regarded amongst the best music festival destinations in the world, featuring lush grassy flat lands, a sandy beach, stunning tufts of tropical jungle and a majestic grove that houses the main stages. In its first year, OMF was a sold-out destination to thousands of spring breakers and music fans across the country."

Said chief creative officer and cofounder Paul Peck, "In 2017, we're going to build upon the magic we created last year by adding new, next-level surprises. Those special, shared experiences that will never happen again [are] what Okeechobee is all about."
