Country music has more than its fair share of tough guys, and Toby Keith might be the biggest and baddest of them all. Keith's latest disc, 2009's American Ride, yielded such testosterone-laden chart-toppers as the title track and "Every Dog Has Its Day."
He will have sidekick Trace Adkins in tow when he returns to West Palm Beach's Cruzan Amphitheatre on September 4 for his "American Ride" tour. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.
Keith's shows have plenty of kick-butt attitude, thanks in part to crowd
favorites like his post 9/11 anthem "Courtesy of the Red, White and
Blue" and the troop-rallying "American Soldier." But he also gives
audiences some plain old fun with country radio staples "I Love This
Bar" and "As Good As I Once Was."
Throw in Adkins, and you definitely have a party. Adkins gained national
exposure last year as the runner-up on The Celebrity Apprentice. But
he sheds his calm and gentlemanly demeanor from the reality show as he
performs "Ladies Love Country Boys" and "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," the
song that gave all the single ladies all the reason they needed to
squeeze into a pair of Daisy Dukes. His newest single, "This Ain't No
Love Song," is from his upcoming album to be released later this summer.
