Former New England Patriot and Florida Gator Aaron Hernandez has been indicted on murder charges for the 2012 deaths of Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
A search warrant filed in Connecticut in January placed Hernandez at the drive-by shooting in Boston, but on Thursday, prosecutors said Hernandez was the triggerman when the victims were "ambushed and executed" following an altercation at a nightclub on July 16, 2012.
Alexander Bradley, a man who recently sued Hernandez for shooting him in the face outside of Tootsie's Cabaret in Miami, was with the former Gator tight end at the time of the murders.

According to authorities, Hernandez and Bradley had been at the Boston nightclub where they fought with Abreu and Furtado.
Hernandez was investigated in connection with these homicides after he was indicted for the unrelated murder of Odin Lloyd.
Hernandez is expected to face the new charges in Suffolk Superior Court.
According to investigators, Hernandez had two drinks and left the club after ten minutes with Bradley. The two got in a Toyota 4Runner, with Hernandez driving.
The SUV circled the block around the club slowly as the victims left in their own vehicle and then pulled up next to the car the victims were riding in at a stoplight. That's when five or six shots were fired, killing Abreu and Furtado, says the warrant.
According to a witness who was sitting in the backseat of the victims' car, Hernandez was the triggerman.
The Toyota 4Runner was eventually recovered at the house of Hernandez's uncle. The gun used in the murder, a .38 caliber revolver, was recovered in a Springfield woman's car. The woman, 19-year-old Jailene Diaz-Ramos, was arrested after she crashed her car on the highway. Diaz-Ramos told police the gun belonged to her friends, whom she once gave a ride to. She told police her friends were football players.
Back in June, Bradley filed a lawsuit against Hernandez. According to the suit, Hernandez and Bradley had a verbal altercation at Tootsie's. The two left the strip club and got into a car. They headed up to Palm Beach, where Hernandez allegedly pulled out a gun and fired it.
The gunshot went off by Bradley's face, severely injuring his eye. As a result, Bradley suffered loss of his right eye and had to undergo multiple surgeries.
The original lawsuit was dismissed after an error in paperwork. The suit was refiled, and Hernandez was served with papers in early July.
Later that month, Bradley testified before a grand jury in Hernandez's Lloyd murder case.
Bradley is currently facing multiple charges after firing a weapon in a Connecticut nightclub in February.
"These men were ambushed and executed as they drove home along Shawmut Avenue," Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley said of the recent indictment, according to Boston news station WCVB. "Neither of [the victims] were involved in gangs, guns, or violence of any kind. Their chance encounter inside a club triggered a series of events that culminated in these murders."
