For a man with an Army background, Allen West seems to have a hard time reading a map. The candidate in the 22nd Congressional District that spans coastal Broward and Palm Beach counties will be opening a new campaign office Tuesday -- in the 23rd Congressional District.
Yes, the soon-to-be unveiled campaign office at 1555 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. in West Palm sits in the district of Congressman Alcee Hastings.
The West campaign also ventured outside the 22nd Congressional District last month
when he staged a town hall meeting in north Fort Lauderdale -- Congressman Ted Deutch's 19th Congressional District.
And oh yeah, West lives in Plantation, which sits squarely in the 20th Congressional District of Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
So maybe West's strategy is to triangulate: First he surrounds the 22nd Congressional District like an army; then he invades it!
