According to our spywitness, fast-rising singer Austin Mahone was at the AMC Theatre at the Aventura Mall yesterday catching an afternoon showing of This Is Us -- the documentary / live concert film featuring massive British boy band One Direction.

Everybody knows this is major -- because just last week, One Direction's Harry Styles reportedly dissed Austin at the MTV VMAs when he pulled a Kanye and tweeted that Australian rapper / model Iggy Azalea should have won the award that Austin took home -- the Artist to Watch award.

Ten-year-old Taisa Strouse had arrived at the mall about 45 minutes early to catch a seat when she noticed the hottie in a skully. "He was standing right behind us," she said. "I was staring at him. I said 'He looks exactly like Austin Mahone.'"

"Then," she continued, "we were in the movie theater, and he sat behind us with three or four of his friends." No one bothered him during the film, "but when it was over, he was going to go through the front entrance" but he got mobbed. "Security took him through the back entrance." Taisa thought he went to a nearby sushi joint after the movie, but he Tweeted that he was eating at Olive Garden.

A manager at AMC said he was not aware of the celebrity customer, but of course there's plenty of proof online. Fans snagged pictures with Mahone inside the mall. (More here.)

Mahone, who is from San Antonio but lists Miami as his current city on his Twitter profile, just signed to the Cash Money label and has been called "Baby Bieber." He got famous in 2010 - 2011 by making videos and posting them on You Tube. He opened for Taylor Swift on her Red tour.

After seeing 20-year-old Styles' rude tweet (which was quickly deleted) the other day, 17-year-old Mahone reacted by tweeting "Wow just found out what @Harry_Styles said!!" and, graciously, "#imstilladirectioner."

"He's awesome; I love him," Taisa says.

Better watch your back, Styles.
