Sure, he may have a gun and be speaking into a shoulder-mounted radio but the man in the sketch is most definitely not a deputy with the Broward Sheriff's Office, as he claimed during a Tuesday evening visit to 62-year-old Roland Mozard's Pompano Beach apartment.
From the BSO release:
Mozard told BSO detectives that around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday someone he didn't know knocked on his apartment door. The visitor identified himself as an undercover BSO deputy and asked for Mozard's identification. When Mozard handed over his driver license, the man handcuffed him and demanded to know where he kept his money. He rifled through Mozard's wallet and drawers and stole $400 and a debit card. Then he took the handcuffs off Mozard and left.
A witness helped BSO artist John McMahon create a composite sketch of the suspect, whom he described as a thin black male about 6-feet-tall with close-cropped hair and two gold front teeth. His handgun was black with wooden hand grips.
