Three people were shot in an apparent robbery of a central Broward check cashing shop around 9:30 a.m. today, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

BSO information officers are currently gathering details of what happened.

The location of the shooting is a place called the Check Cashing Store at 2927 W. Sunrise Blvd. in an unincorporated area of the county.

The BSO says its SWAT unit responded to the scene, as the suspect was believed to still be armed and inside the store.
