New Jersey Governor Chris A Bridge Too Far Christie is hitting up Florida this weekend on a Rick Scott fundraising tour, and Democratic National Committee chief Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz will pretty much be following him around with her own press conferences.

Wasserman Schultz plans to attack Scott and Christie's records as the two bro it out throughout Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm, and Orlando.

This trip marks the first time Christie will make a speech as president of the Republican Governors Association, and the first time he's been away from New Jersey where he is currently embroiled in a bridge scandal.

The DNC has been sparse on details about what exactly Wasserman Schultz's speeches will be about, but they're likely to include Scott's bad governorship, and Christie's George Washington Bridge fiasco.

Back in September, two lanes on the bridge connecting New Jersey to New York City were closed off. Christie's office failed to notify emergency response officials, and the lane closures caused massive traffic jams, not to mention making it impossible for emergency response vehicles to get over the bridge.

The crux of the scandal came about when Christie's aides' reason for the lane closures -- a traffic study -- was refuted by the Port Authority. This led to many speculating that Christie had the lanes closed on purpose as payback against Democratic rivals, such as the Fort Lee, New Jersey, Mayor after he declined to endorse Christie's re-election campaign.

The bridge controversy has since unraveled for Christie, including two new legislative committees forming to investigate the scandal. The committees have issued up to 20 subpoenas to different Christie aides involved in the scandal.

Fresh with the stank of controversy, Christie will test the strength of his waning popularity to try and rally the state for the unpopular Scott.

The New Jersey governor is scheduled to attend multiple fundraisers, including in Ft. Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach.

Wasserman Schultz and the DNC's plan to tail Christie at every turn will start in Orlando on Saturday morning at Guernsey Park on 1320 Guernsey St.

According to a DNC press release, the plan is for Wasserman Schultz to "respond to Governor Christie's Florida trip and to discuss Rick Scott's failed record."

Wasserman Schultz then plans to hit up Fort Lauderdale Airport Station after that on Saturday afternoon.

The Ft. Lauderdale presser, held at 500 Gulf Stream Way, Dania Beach, is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday.
