Last weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Jan Proctor of Delray Beach won her first tournament after four years on the circuit. She's 56 years old and beat a 38-year-old friend in the finals. She also won the doubles championship.

According to the Grand Rapids Free Press, Proctor "played competitive tennis for 22 years before being struck by a car and breaking her leg, then developing cancer in that leg."
