Dolphins and Jets Players Getting Into War of Words

The Miami Dolphins and New York Jets have apparently gotten into a war of words in the past couple of days.

It all started on Wednesday, when Jets Coach Rex Ryan declared his anger toward Reggie Bush after the running back made some comments following their first game a few weeks back.

Prior to that game, Ryan had made comments about putting "hot sauce" on Reggie. Reggie took that as a hint that the Jets were out to hurt him. He had to leave the game early after suffering a knee injury. After the game, when it was learned that Jets cornerback Derelle Revis tore his ACL, Reggie said it was maybe karma that did it, after the Jets made it a point to come at him.

Apparently butthurt by Reggie's karma comments, Ryan said he wanted a public apology from him.

Reggie Bush ain't doing that.

So, Jets safety LaRon Landry decided to chime in.

Landry told the media on Wednesday that Bush will "remember" the hit he delivered in Week 3 -- the hit that supposedly knocked Reggie out of that game.

Landry continued to spew things from his facehole: "I'm not going to overtalk it or make it a story. If I get penalized, I'm not going to stop hitting or headhunting. I'm not going to stop the way I play."

Then, Jets defensive end Aaron Maybin decided to join the douche party and told reporters that the Jets would kick the Fins' asses legally come Sunday.

Today, Dolphins reporters asked center Mike Pouncey about Maybin's comments. "I don't even want to talk about him," he said. "[Maybin's] a joke."

Randy Starks added, "We're not a cheap-shot team. We don't do anything dirty. We do our talking on the field."

Said Reggie: "They're the ones who started it. If there was ever any retaliation, it would come from us. But you know what? With this team and the caliber of guys and character of guys that we have, we play with respect for the game."

For his part, Cameron Wake made all this shit talking sound delicious! "It's the Jets," he said. "That puts a little bit more sugar in the pie."

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Pie.

All this trash talking and tough-guy posturing to see which team will be less mediocre should lead to an interesting game Sunday, that's for sure!
