A man shot and killed by an FBI agent in Orlando shortly before midnight Tuesday was apparently being questioned about the Boston Bombings.

According to a report by Orlando's WFTV the suspect is 26-year old Ibragim Todashev.

Todashev's friend told a WFTV reporter that he was getting ready to fly out to New York before being questioned by authorities about Boston Marathon bombing suspects Tamerlan Tsarnaev and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

The FBI has yet to confirm that is the case but, according to the suspect's friend, Khusen Taramov, authorities had questioned Todashev several times.

"He had a ticket from New York, [and] from there, he was going to go back home. They were pushing him, saying, 'Stay, don't leave.' They said, 'We want to interview you one last time and talk to you a last time.' And he decided to stay, and today's interview was supposed to be the last time, and they said they were going to leave him alone," said the victim's friend, Khusen Taramov.

Asked if Todashev could have done something to provoke the shooting, Taramov said. "No, there is no way. I know that for sure. All he wanted was to talk to them so they could leave him alone."

"FBI started following him, asking questions," Taramov told the news station, "'Why you guys, what kind of connection do you have with them?' Trying to make the connection between [the Boston bombers], you know what I mean. But there's no connection. There's no connection. I know that for sure."

So far all that is known for sure about the incident at this time is that FBI agents swarmed an Orlando apartment complex in the middle of the night to investigate a shooting. A suspect was shot by an FBI agent, according to a statement from the FBI, and that the agent involved in the shooting was conducting official duties when he opened fired on Todashev.

The FBI has said nothing further regarding the shooting, or the possible suspect.
