“We have decided to leak 100 addresses so that our brothers residing in America can deal with you," said a website purportedly linked to militant group Islamic State of Iraq (ISIS) that says it has a "kill list" targeting several U.S. military personnel living in America.

Since then, the Pentagon has asked for law enforcement agencies to beef up security for the military personnel named on the list. The list, which appeared on the ISIS website over the weekend,  features names, addresses and photos of at least 100 U.S. service members. Florida appears among the twenty three states mentioned on the list, which apparently targets military personnel living in Merritt Island, Palm Coast, Saint John, Middleburg, and Saint Augustine.

The military personnel mentioned on the list have, in one way or another, participated in airstrikes against the militant group over the last year. Most of them are from the Navy and Air Force.

The website boasted that it had hacked the Pentagon in order to retrieve the personal information of the military personnel. However, the Daily Beast reports that the names and addresses were already public via several Defense Department websites, which means ISIS probably just Googled the names and claimed it had hacked the Pentagon.

Still, the FBI is taking the threat seriously, and is looking into the hacking claims. Meanwhile, the Pentagon ordered local law enforcement of the 55 cities mentioned on the list to provide extra security for the military personnel mentioned on the list.

According to the ISIS website, the militant group called on sympathizers to target each person mentioned. They call on these military personnel to be beheaded, or stabbed on the streets where they live.

“These Kuffar that drop bombs over Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Khurasan and Somalia are from the same lands that you reside in, so when will you take action?” the site says. “Know that it is wajib for you to kill these kuffar! and now we have made it easy for you by giving you addresses, all you need to do is take the final step, so what are you waiting for? Kill them in their own lands, behead them in their own homes, stab them to death as they walk their streets thinking they are safe.”

"We have made it easy for you by giving you addresses," the message concludes. "All you need to do is take the final step, so what are you waiting for?”

The Pentagon has said that they don't have any specific threats, but that the military personnel mentioned on the list have been notified. The The Defense Department has also advised service members  to review their and family members'  social media information, and remove anything that may compromise their security.
