Based on prior tour dates, the event will likely be a star-studded, personal affair. Celebrities ranging from Oprah to former president Barack Obama have made guest appearances in cities along the way as the former First Lady has taken to the stage to open up about her past struggles and triumphs. And according to the Washington Post, she talks about everything, from her first thoughts upon meeting her future husband to ensuing marital hurdles.
The Becoming Tour was intended to have a short run kicking off on November 13th in the former first lady's hometown of Chicago and wrapping up on December 19, but likely based on the overwhelming response to the book itself — sales have surpassed three million dollars and it's quickly been named the best-selling book of 2018 — and the relative ease in which they filled tour seats, the live chat with Michelle and an eager audience has been extended into 2019.
21 further stops have been added, with the acclaimed author now planning to touch down everywhere from Paris to Toronto. Tickets for the new North American 2019 dates will go on sale to the general public on December 15 at 10 a.m. at the tour website. A limited number of VIP meet-and-greet packages are also available.
