Update: Authorities have given the all-clear after the package the bomb squad inspected was ruled not to be a threat.

Suspicions arose after a bag was found in the school parking lot. A bomb squad robot inspected the bag and found there was nothing in it. The bomb squad took the bag away, and students were allowed back into school without further incident.

Original post: Nova High School and Nova Middle School have been evacuated over what appears to be a bomb threat.

The schools had been put on lockdown as of 8:30 this morning for what was being called a "suspicious incident," according to Davie Police. But at 9:30, reports trickled in that the schools had been evacuated.

The two schools, which are adjacent to each other, are located at 3600 College Ave.

There is police activity and a bomb squad truck on the scene.

The Broward Sheriff's Office bomb squad was called in, according to Davie Police.

Twitter has been active saying that a suspicious package arrived at the school, but that has not been confirmed.
