Producing an attack ad against Rep. Allen West probably isn't the hardest thing to do, considering the amount of controversial material the congressman likes to put out on a regular basis.

Democrat Patrick Murphy has taken advantage of some of that, releasing an online video titled "Allen West's 2011 Year in Review," mostly highlighting the occasions in which West talked crap about Democrats.

It's some of the stuff you probably remember from this year -- Obama supporters are a "threat to the gene pool," Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is "the most vile, unprofessional, and despicable" member of the House, and of course, Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels would "be very proud" of Democrats.

Attacking West seems to be Murphy's game plan, but with the library of obnoxious statements West's been amassing, we don't blame him.

"This is only a sample of West's extreme and offensive rhetoric this year," Murphy says. "There's plenty more, and worse, a series of votes that most people both in South Florida and throughout the nation, Democrat or Republican, would be bothered by. There's much more to come and we're going to work very hard to educate the public about who Allen West really is and the insidious agenda he's actually supporting."

West hasn't even decided what district he's running in -- at least according to the Florida Division of Elections -- as there have been fears from local Republicans over West's district gaining more Democrats.

Broward Republican Party Vice Chair Colleen Stolberg has been sending out alerts to the group's followers in an effort to "save Congressman West" by demanding West get more favorable treatment in the redistricting process.

Apparently, Republicans really don't like how West's district might look -- saveallenwest.com is dedicated to begging anyone involved to keep his district leaning red.

Anyway, here's the ad from the Murphy campaign:
