According to Miami-Dade Police, a third person has died following yesterday's horrific collapse of a parking garage at Miami Dade College's West Campus in Doral.
Police say their mission is now a recovery effort and report that a construction worker, Robert Budhoo of Tamarac, is missing beneath the rubble.
The parking garage was under construction when it collapsed. Witnesses say construction workers and others ran screaming from the garage as it fell around noon Wednesday.
Rescue crews plan to search through the rubble of the five-story parking garage all day today for Budhoo.
Another man, 53-year-old Samuel Perez, was found and rescued early Thursday -- 13 hours after the accident. He was found after workers heard his cries underneath the brick, stone, and steel. According to the Miami Herald, his legs had to be amputated in order to pull him from the rubble. Perez died four hours after being rescued, according to officials.
In all, seven construction workers have been taken to the hospital with several injuries. The death toll is now at three.
According to officials, Budhoo's family told them he's the construction worker who is missing.
