Sean Petrozzino, a quadruple amputee, is considered a person of interest for the shooting deaths of his parents. Police are also saying that Petrozzino, 30, who grew up in South Florida, could be heading to Coral Springs.
Petrozzino is missing parts of his hands and feet as a result of a bacterial meningitis infection he suffered as an adolescent.
Orange County Police say Petrozzino was spotted in surveillance footage at an Orlando-area ATM on Tuesday, the same day his parents, Nancy Petrozzino, 64, and Michael Petrozzino, 63, were found murdered in their home. He was seen in the surveillance images with his father's red Toyota Camry, which police believe he's using to get around.
For now, Petrozzino is only being called a "person of interest." He's not considered a suspect, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Jane Watrel, per a news conference Wednesday.
"We want him to get in here and talk to us so we can find out what happened, since he was apparently living with his parents," Watrel said.
After suffering his injuries, Petrozzino had to undergo a dozen surgeries. He was then relegated to using prosthetic legs after doctors removed his limbs. He's also missing part of his hands.
According to reports, he had recently separated from his wife. His home in Georgia also apparently went into foreclosure. Petrozzino moved in with his parents in Orlando last week.
On Tuesday, Petrozzino's parents were found shot dead.
His mother, Nancy, was a second-grade teacher at Andover Elementary in Orlando. His father, Michael, had worked as a cast member at Walt Disney World.
Orange County Sheriff's Office says Petrozzino could be driving in his father's red Camry with the license plate 112VZY. They ask anyone with information to call their crimestoppers line at 800-423-8477.
