This morning Sun-Sentinel employees got this e-mail from some amorphous corporate entity known as "Transformative Change":

From: Transformative Change Sent: Thu 6/7/2007 8:47 AM To: zzSSC.1Exchange.Users Subject: Slogan/Logo Ideas Requested To Help Communicate Company's 'Change' Process

As part of the transformative change process presently underway at Sun-Sentinel Company, employees are invited to submit slogans and/or logo ideas to help communicate the change process. For example, ideas submitted should relate to the concept of change, sense of

urgency, etc.

Ideas that are selected will be featured on an ongoing basis in posters throughout the company, on SunSpot and in Between Editions.

To submit your slogan ideas and/or artwork, please just reply to this e-mail. Winning ideas will be selected by a cross-divisional team.

If you don't remember what Transformative Change is all about, read this brilliant explanation from someone inside the Sentinel who had the misfortune to find out firsthand.

Now let's see, the merging of the marketing and editorial departments, the fluffing up of the front page to the point there's little room for news, the advent of the hokey Help Team, baseline buyouts of veteran employees, the increase in contextless news briefs that often are little more than summarized press releases, the killing of the Sunday arts magazine, the axing of the movie critic position ...

Here's a few less-than-inspired and only moderately humorous ideas:

"Transformative Kool-Aid: Tastes Great And Less Filling"

"The Sun-Sentinel: Better Than Iraq!"

"How Can We Downsize You?"

As for logos, well, that's easy:
