Gregory Brummitt and Sandy Bulla, both from Johnson City, Tennessee, have been arrested by Broward Sheriff's Office for allegedly robbing and killing Bulla's ex-husband at a Red Roof Inn on April 29.
Brummitt, 20, and Bulla, 35, made the trip to South Florida for the usual reason that draws folks from Tennessee: easy prescription drugs. They were joined by Terry Williams and the Bulla and Williams' 5-year-old son. According to the BSO investigators, Brummitt and Bulla strangled Williams to death early last Thursday, then robbed him of 200 oxycodone pills, $1,000, and his pickup truck.
Brummitt and Bulla headed back to Tennessee, but BSO detectives flew there to team with local enforcement officials to make the arrests.
BSO release is here.
