Thursday

Laughing at yourself every once in a while is a great quality to possess. That’s what Forbidden Broadway is all about; parodying seemingly everything and everyone in the Broadway and musical spaces. The latest edition of this show – which originally debuted in 1982 – even takes some swipes at Hamilton. Pro tip: There’s also an NYE show at 10 p.m. with a champagne toast. 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and various performance times through December 31 at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, 701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach; kravis.org. Tickets cost $35.

Sebastian Maniscalco’s Stay Hungry Tour has been pretty darn successful. And he’s clearly stayed hungry for the stage, as he's slated to continue touring through 2019. He’ll make a stop at the BB&T Center on Thursday evening with observations on everything from the scooter craze to recently becoming a dad. 8 p.m. on Thursday at BB&T Center, 1 Panther Pkwy., Sunrise; thebbtcenter.com. Tickets cost $39.75 to $79.75.

Friday

A steel pulse sounds incredibly painful – if it were something beating in your chest. However, this Steel Pulse is quite pleasant and always delivers some stellar reggae jams. The band – originally from Birmingham, England – has been going strong for over 40 years and will rock two shows at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale this week. With albums spanning back to the '70s, you’ll want to take a listen to their latest, 2018’s Mass Manipulation, too. 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at Culture Room, 3045 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale; cultureroom.net. Tickets cost $32.

“I woke up in a new Bugatttttiiiii.” You’ve probably heard or sang the catchy AF rap anthem at some point. Well, now you can enjoy it and other Ace Hood tracks live at Pawn Shop in WPB. The rapper has released seven mixtapes in the time since he dropped “Bugatti” with Future and Rick Ross. As for when the Deerfield Beach native's fifth studio album will drop, we don’t know, but we can’t wait. 9 p.m. on Friday at Pawn Shop, 219 Clematis St., West Palm Beach; eventbrite.com. Tickets cost $10.

Slated to appear are co-hosts Miz Cracker and Monét X Change as well as Alyssa Edwards, Farrah Moan and Miss Vanjie, among others. There’s also a VIP ticket available – for $150 – where you can meet the queens pre-show, take pics and score a cool lanyard. 8 p.m. on Saturday at Parker Playhouse, 707 NE Eighth St., Fort Lauderdale; ticketmaster.com. Tickets cost $22.36 to $53.56.

Sunday

What a loony time of year. Now that Xmas is in the books, we have NYE coming up quickly. So, how about you relax a little before the madness escalates? LauderAle’s Ales & Asanas is always a great option. Enjoy a one-hour yoga sesh and then down a signature ale (included with your registration) post-class. Not into the brews? LauderAle has yummy Bloody Marys and Mimosas, too. If you decide to stick around post-free beer, you get a discount on your tab for yoga-ing. 10 a.m. on Sunday at LauderAle Brewery, 3305 SE 14th Ave., Fort Lauderdale; eventbrite.com. Tickets cost $10 to $15.

Monday

Last year, Glitch Bar threw a badass, post-apocalyptic NYE party. This year, its NYE flier has a Stranger Things-esque vibe, so things may be even wilder. The Lauderdale hotspot will have free video games (as always), $5 Jameson shots, $20 bottles of champagne, and food from various vendors all night long. The bar will also set up a massive LED screen in its parking lot and provide entertainment from Just Gio. Translation: Get ready to shake your ass in the parking lot. 8 p.m. on Monday at Glitch Bar, 905 NE Fifth Ave., Fort Lauderdale; facebook.com. Admission is free.

Beach House Pompano will be quite the NYE playground for its James Bond-Inspired Casino Night New Year’s Eve Soiree. General admission for its first floor will be free. There will be a rooftop celebration as well, costing 99 bucks and including unlimited open bar access. With a James Bond theme, you’ll want to dress your best for sure. And as for your Bond-esque mission for the evening? Your challenge will be to avoid having too bad of a hangover the next day. 8 p.m. on Monday at Beach House Pompano, 270 N. Pompano Beach Blvd., Pompano Beach; beachhousepompano.com. Tickets for rooftop celebration cost $99 and will be sold at the door.

Tuesday

Something Big is about to happen. No, seriously, that’s what this thing is called: Something Big. Now in its fifth year, this yoga-meets-music event started from humble beginnings. And now, more than 2,000 folks are expected for the free community yoga event this year. Leading the charge is yoga teacher Leslie Glickman, and DJ Drez will provide the tunes. 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real, Boca Raton; facebook.com. Admission is free and pre-registration is required.

Wednesday

Long before Jimmy Fallon took the reins of The Tonight Show, it was Jay Leno’s baby for more than 20 years. (#NeverForget Conan O'Brien hosted it for some time, too.) And while Leno may not be gracing late-night TV screens any longer, he has been hitting the road quite a bit. On Wednesday, he’ll visit WPB with his latest, generally family-friendly observations of our loony-as-ever world. 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, 701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach; kravis.org. Tickets cost $29 to $145.
