A steel pulse sounds incredibly painful – if it were something beating in your chest. However, this Steel Pulse is quite pleasant and always delivers some stellar reggae jams. The band – originally from Birmingham, England – has been going strong for over 40 years and will rock two shows at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale this week. With albums spanning back to the '70s, you’ll want to take a listen to their latest, 2018’s Mass Manipulation, too. 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at Culture Room, 3045 N. “I woke up in a new Bugatttttiiiii.” You’ve probably heard or sang the catchy AF rap anthem at some point. Well, now you can enjoy it and other Ace Hood tracks live at Pawn Shop in WPB. The rapper has released seven mixtapes in the time since he dropped “Bugatti” with Future and Rick Ross. Beach House Pompano will be quite the NYE playground for its James Bond-Inspired Casino Night New Year’s Eve Soiree. General admission for its first floor will be free. Something Big is about to happen. No, seriously, that’s what this thing is called: Something Big. Now in its fifth year, this yoga-meets-music event started from humble beginnings.
