The Miami Dolphins traded former first-round pick and cornerback Vontae Davis to the Indianapolis Colts for two 2013 draft picks yesterday.

That's right. Jeff Ireland just got a second-round pick and sixth-round pick for a guy he decided to draft over Clay Matthews, Hakeem Nicks, Kenny Britt, Patrick Chung, and LeSean McCoy in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Because Jeff Ireland is a draft wizard and a master player evaluator, you see. He also hates dirty, dirty whores.

Ireland told reporters in a press conference that trading away Davis wasn't so much about giving up on a possible elite (if not, pretty damn solid) cornerback, but more about getting "ammunition" to use the picks he got to improve the team.

Ammunition for a shit canon, maybe.

Jeff Ireland's track record for second-rounders is thusly: Chad Henne, Pat White, Koa Misi, Philip Merling, and the latest serving of refried ass, Jonathan Martin.

A piece of your soul just died reading that list.

Some might argue that getting draft picks for Davis, who was slated to be a free agent next year, was a smart move. Others say that Davis was trouble from the get-go, developing a reputation for a lack of dedication, being late to meetings, and even being suspended a game last season for showing up to a meeting with alcohol in his breath. The Dolphins are better off, some say. The Dolphins got value here, stockpiling picks for 2013.

That might be all well and true. Stock piling picks can be a good and valuable thing.

But the larger point here is draft picks and value mean absolutely COCK with Jeff Ireland running things.

Look at that list of second rounders again and ask yourself if you really have faith in Ireland or anyone in the brain trust running this pile of broken dicks known as the Miami Dolphins.

Whether Davis was helpful or a detriment is irrelevant.

Jeff Ireland chose to draft him over other star players currently making huge impacts on their respective teams, going to Pro Bowls and winning Super Bowls and generally denting everyone's ass. Ireland now chooses to erase his massive mistake by trading Davis away for less than what he spent to acquire him.

Because Jeff Ireland is a draft magician, turning first round picks into second round picks in a single bound!

How anyone can still have faith this shit-for-brains is absolutely baffling.
