Democracy is a beautiful thing. It gives us presidents, laws, and American Idol winners. And now we can add yet another thing to Democracy's shining list of accomplishments: our Best Of Readers' Poll nominees.
That's right, people. You voted, and we listened.
Let me say that one more time: You voted.
Yes, you. So if you don't like the nominees, walk outside and start yelling at people, because this was a purely democratic process.
Each category has been narrowed down to five finalists. And we're sorry to inform you but "my mom" -- as so many of you seem to have nominated -- was not eligible as a nominee. She is neither a yoga studio nor a thrift store, however cheap and flexible she may be.
