The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is looking into a stabbing that happened Sunday morning at Sunsport Gardens Naturist Resort in Loxahatchee.

The victim is said to be an 18-year-old woman who was staying at the resort for the weekend, passing through from Georgia to the Florida Keys. She was stabbed multiple times while walking along a nature trail. She was flown to St. Mary's hospital. Her injuries are not life-threatening.

PBSO spokesperson Therese Barbera said officers with the Violent Crimes Division and Crime Scene Investigators are investigating. They believe the attacker was a teenager.

Sunsport Gardens is known as a family -friendly, smoke-free, welcoming resort featuring kayaking, fruit trees, a stage, camping, a pool, a game room, volleyball, and the "Naturally Nude Cafe."

New Times has featured the resort in a cover story about a young nudist movement.

According to Sunsport's Facebook page, there was a Young Naturists holiday event taking place Saturday night.

Manager Morley Schloss told Channel 5 that "nothing like this have ever happened at Sunsport before. This is a really freaky thing, but it is very likely that someone could have come through the woods who had nothing to do with Sunsport.”
