Now that our snow birds have departed, South Florida's permanent residents can take a sigh of relief. Finally, a break from over-congested streets, slow-poke drivers, and long lines at the store.
And, perhaps best of all -- no more waiting for a table at your favorite restaurant.
To celebrate this annual mass exodus, Delray Beach's Atlantic Ocean Club -- the new seafood restaurant on Atlantic Ave. -- has come up with its very own
way to make the summer months that much sweeter with an all-you-can-eat event that will take place each and every Monday for the next few months.
Officially dubbed the "Delray Local Lobster Fest," Atlantic Ocean Club will be hosting its weekly foodie-festival in honor of South Florida's year-round locals, giving them a chance to savor one of the best things to come out of the Northeast -- the lobster.
Starting tonight at 5 p.m., for $39 per person (tax and gratuity not included), guests can bib-up and chow-down on Maine lobsters, fresh-steamed and ready to crack open as part of the restaurant's all-you-can-eat fest. The meal also includes a selection of house-made sides by the restaurant's new executive chef, Lisa Odom. For those who are more "land-lubbers" than sea-crazy, a full a la carte menu is also available.
Just a reminder: Walk-ins are always welcome, but reservations are recommended. And (if they must) tourists are allowed, of course...
